Polyester

Can be inexpensive and mostly suited for residential

Nylon

The most popular choice. Nylon is inexpensive, durable and available in a variety of colors

Wool

Soft, comfortable and durable. Wool is the most expensive fiber option. But it’s stain and dirt resistant and completely natural

Olefin

A strong fiber that is fade and mold resistant. Often used outdoors.

Carpet tiles

Carpet tiles are available in various sizes, fiber types and pile styles; and can be installed over old floors, such as vinyl, hardwood or laminate, and even over concrete or plywood. Also unique, carpet tile backing system helps withstand moisture much better. In general, carpet tile floor is easier to clean and maintain, and in terms of repairs, carpet tile is a preferred option as the damaged tiles can be simply replaced with the new ones.
